Easy Mixing Hacks That Work On Any Track

High/Low Pass EQ - removing unnecessary frequencies

Boosting gain with high Q in equalizer to spot annoying frequencies, and then remove it.

Cutting in the mids around 300-500hz to get more headroom by 2-3dB - This area gets occupied pretty easily, small changes make huge difference.

Panning midrangy sounds - like you hear in orchestra all the instruments have own space on stage.

Using saturator drive to boost a signal by 2dB not too much.
If you gonna use extreme settings to Drive the signal, its good to use mix knob, and add just a little saturation.

Using Transient Shaper - to give punch to drums.

Sidechain everything to kick, don't use the same setting for all sounds.

Listen to pro mixes and "steal" techniques from them - you will know right away what is wrong with your mix.
